We have a large outdoor fountain that does not have a filter. In the past, I have either had to drain the fountain using an electric pump; let it dry; clean out the algae by hand; flush the fountain and refill it. Took hours. Or, I had to pay a pro to use something like this every few months during the warm weather (we live in Souther California), which became very expensive. I tried other, smaller handheld vaccums but they did nothing. Bought this vacuum; assembly and use is a breeze and it sucked all the algae, dirty water, everything right out of the fountain. Then I refilled it. Over the course of a year, it will save me close to $1,000 for professional cleaning and dozens of hours of my time. Suction is excellent; parts simple to use and clean. Perfect for a large, outdoor fountain. Just what I needed. No issues or complaints. I didn't even use the included bag to catch the algae goop. Just had the outlet hose run out on my large driveway and with a hose rinsed the good away. It dried in a few minutes in the sun and disappeared. Cleaning the parts and main vaccum base was simple with a hose; left everything to dry in the sun and ready for next use. Most impressed with ease of cleaning and suction power. Much more powerful than i expected and the clear tube included in the extension wand kit lets you see exactly what is being sucked up. Very satisfied.
